We LOVE the Disney Dining Plan! While it may not be the right choice for people who are light eaters, it really is a money saver for everyone else! What we really liked was that we didn't have to worry about spending money on our meals and running out of cash. Our meals were all paid for, and if we wanted a random snack we could get it without worrying about how much it would cost us. You can use the credits any time throughout your stay, so if you want 4 mickey ice cream bars in one day, you can do that! To know if something is included on the Dining Plan, check for the little purple square Mickey Symbol next to the item (or just ask a cast member). It is important to note that tips at table service restaurants are not included. This post will break down what we had and what we paid in general and what types of Disney Dining Plans there are. Here we go!
There are 3 different dining plans you can get:
Heres a breakdown of what we spent (and saved!): Day 1: Disney Springs: Polite Pig and Planet Hollywood (we paid $150.98 for the Dining Plan) Polite Pig: Quick Service Credit
Planet Hollywood: Table Service Credit
This was the only day that we did not spend the $150 we paid because we were saving our snack credits for the party the next day!! You can save credits and use them whenever you want. Day Total: $127.96 Day 2: ($150.98 on the dining plan) Woody's Lunchbox (Quick Service meal, Hollywood Studios):
Crystal Palace Character Dinner:
Snacks:
Daily total: $189.48 Day 3: ($150.98 on the Disney Dining Plan) Eight Spoons Café (we used one quick service credit total, you can use a quick service credit and break it down into 3 snacks):
Via Napoli Table Service Credit:
$105.00 Snacks:
Daily Total: $175.56 How Much We Paid for the Disney Dining Plan: $452.94 What We Actually Spent: $493.00 Amount Saved: $40.06 This was how much we saved with only 3 days of eating food! We were able to eat whatever we wanted whenever we wanted. We could have gone to more expensive places and saved even more money, but we chose places that had characters or were delicious food or places that were quick to go through. We definitely will do the Disney Dining Plan again on a future trip to Walt Disney World! Have you ever done the Disney Dining Plan? What is your opinion on it? Let us know in the comments!
