We visited the Richmond Brathaus in Richmond, IL a few weeks ago when we were doing our sunflower maze/Wisconsin State Fair fiesta. We had heard from Erin's mom that the pretzels there were amazing and giant, so of course we had to try it! WE WERE NOT PREPARED FOR THE SIZE OF THE PRETZEL It was literally bigger than both our heads put together, the pictures don't do it justice! It was delicious and we took over half of it home. We didn't know how big the pretzel would be so we foolishly ordered pulled pork mac and cheese too to make sure we didn't starve. We were glad we did that though, because it was delicious! We highly recommend the food here, but if you get the pretzel, make that your meal or have a big group to eat it all because you won't finish it otherwise. Please note, there is no outdoor seating here, you have to eat indoors. This may deter some from wanting to go here, so we suggest if you are concerned about eating indoors, come right when they open so that you can beat any crowds. We wanted to share too that the shopping district around Richmond Brathaus is really nice! There are a bunch of reasonably priced boutique shops around the area that sell cute clothes and other goodies that you don't want to pass up. You can easily combine together going to the Richmond Brathaus and going to VonBergen's Country Market (sunflower maze is done for the season, but the marketplace is still open and pretty great!) in one trip because they are only 10 minutes away from each other! It's also only 15 minutes away from Twin Lakes Wisconsin which boasts a great bakery, awesome lake views, and more! Social media, phone number, website, and location are located on the side of the screen on this page! Check out some of our pictures from the restaurant and our food:
