In November of this year, the Starbucks Reserve Roastery opened up downtown chicago making it currently the largest Starbucks in the world. Located between Michigan Ave. and Erie, the reserve is comprised of five floors, with the top being an outdoor terrace. This Starbucks also features the first curved elevator in the Midwest. Currently worldwide, there are only a total of six other Starbucks Reserves, including this new one in Chicago. Some of the unique things offered in this Starbucks are three coffee bars, a cocktail bar, and food from the Italian bakery Princi. Not only are special drinks offered you can't get elsewhere, but you are also able to buy distinctive Starbucks Reserve merchandise and coffee gear. When we went, we did have a look around the entire place, but we mostly spent time at the cocktail bar on the four floor. Arriviamo Cocktail Bar features not only a great view looking out of Michigan Ave and a chill atmosphere, but unique cocktail creations made using coffee and tea. The price of the cocktails are comparable to any alcoholic drink you'll buy in a downtown bar and restaurant, and if none of the drinks offered on the menu appeal to your fancy, they are able to make more traditional cocktails as well. We ended up getting Cosmopolitions, which were super delicious, and had a overall great time relaxing for a hot second after a lot of walking we did earlier that day. The Starbucks Reserve Roastery is definitely a must-go for any true coffee lover, but would be a great pit stop for anyone passing by it on Michigan Ave. Erin being obsessed with coffee can't wait to go again in the near future!
