While this isn't an original recipe, it's a pretty cool one! Tasty is unique as they show videos along with the instructions to help those who learn better visually. The butternut squash in the recipe can easily be substituted for ground chicken or pork, and you can add other veggies in there such as spinach or other leafy greens! For the sauce, if you substitute the squash for ground chicken or pork, we suggest using a red sauce such as Contadina or Ragú sauce which will go better with meat than with butternut squash. It's a great recipe to take up a lot of time in the afternoon (since we all seem to have more time on our hands lately) and can be done with your family as well!
Let us know in the comments if you try out this recipe, and any modifications you make to it so we can try it as well!

Hi everyone! We wanted to try something new on our blog (plus we're bored). We will be doing a Zoom conference on May 20th, 2020 at 1:30 PM and will be making 2 of our recipes from the blog (which will be macaroni and cheese (with homemade sauce) done by Elizabeth and a dessert item done by Erin)! We want to invite you to join us on there and make the recipes along with us (or just hang out if you don't want to make them just yet). We would love to have you join us and hopefully try out these recipes with us! If you haven't heard of Zoom before, it's a video chatting platform that allows many people to sign on at once. Many companies and schools are utilizing Zoom and it is working very well! It is FREE to sign up as well! To sign up for our Zoom conference, you will need to complete a couple steps: First off, you'll need to fill out our form with your email at the bottom of this post. We will only be inviting people to the conference who put their emails in this post or send us an email or a message on Facebook. You have to have an email address in order to join a session because of Zoom's requirements and we need somewhere to send the link to! Secondly, after you fill out the form you will need to download the Zoom app. We suggest doing this right away so you can familiarize yourself with it. If you are on a computer you will need to go to https://zoom.us/ and click the button in the upper right hand corner that says join for free and follow the instructions there. If you are on a tablet or smartphone you can download the Zoom app from your application store (App Store (Apple devices), Google Play Store (Android devices), etc.) and fill out the information in the app in order to join. Please let us know if you are having difficulty doing this by shooting us an email or Facebook message. We would be happy to walk you through the process with pictures. Lastly, we will be sending out the Zoom link through your email address before the meeting begins. Be sure to set a reminder so you don't forget to join in! We wanted to note that even if you fill out this form and we send you the link, you don't have to join in if you decide you don't want to. If you're even thinking that you might be interested in joining sign up on the form and then the day of you can decide whether or not you actually want to join! We hope to see many of you there! Remember, you don't have to have your camera or microphone on during the session if you don't want people to see you. You can feel free to watch without these on! We will be answering any questions that might arise throughout the session! It won't be more than 40 minutes long most likely due to Zoom's cutoff for free accounts. We want to note your email will not be shared with others, only Erin and Elizabeth can see it. Others in the Zoom conference will only see your name and your video/audio feed if you choose to have them on. The recipes and ingredients required will be sent out to the participants on Monday May 18th! Please respond ASAP if you are interested. If you don't see this post before May 18th, don't worry! Just fill out the form and we will shoot out a quick email to you with the recipes and the ingredients! We hope to see you soon! |
