Looking for a cookie recipe that feeds a crowd? Look no further! This recipe makes 4.5 dozen cookies and is SUPER delicious! Technically this is not an original recipe, we got it from an amazing friend of ours who agreed to let us share it on our site. Let us know in the comments if you try out this recipe! We HIGHLY recommend it! Ingredients: 1 cup butter or margarine softened 1 1/3 cups sugar 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla 3 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cream of tartar (make sure it's semi-fresh at least, if it's old the cookies may not turn out right, they will taste good but have a different texture) 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon 3 tablespoons sugar Directions: 1. Beat butter and the 1 1/3 cups sugar until creamy 2. Beat in eggs and vanilla 3. In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt 4. Gradually add flour mixture into the butter mixture blending it thoroughly 5. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and the 3 tablespoons of sugar 6. Roll dough into 1-inch balls 7. Roll balls in cinnamon-sugar mixture until coated well 8. Place at least 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets 9. Bake at 375 degrees F for 12 minutes or until lightly browned (THIS IS IMPORTANT, THE COOKIES SHOULD NOT BE GOLDEN BROWN, IT NEEDS TO BE EVER SO SLIGHTLY BROWN OR IT WILL NOT TASTE RIGHT) 10. Let cool on baking sheets for a minute or two 11. Transfer to racks and let cool completely. 12. Store airtight 13. Enjoy! |
